Remar Ivory Coast.
Remar SOS in Ivory Coast as part of strategy to support the population in times of emergency, due to the situation being experienced due to the COVID pandemic.
The aid reaches the most disadvantaged neighborhoods of the capital, Abdijan, where hundreds of menus and sacks of food are distributed daily to people living in the most vulnerable areas. Long lines of people form to collect food, hundreds of children, young people and entire families come to seek help in the midst of so much need.
The volunteers and missionaries of Remar distribute food remembering the words of Jesus, when he saw the multitudes, he had compassion and said: They have no need to go away; give them something to eat.
In many cases, the food that the families receive from the volunteers is the only food they will have that day. The coronavirus pandemic has created havoc. Mandatory confinements to try to curb the impact of the virus have also had the consequence of increasing poverty, as many people earn their living by selling products in the markets and on the street. Remar, Let’s not get tired of doing good. Solidarity on the 5 continents.
