A 2200 km journey to save lives in Rio Grande do Sul

A journey with tons of donations and unwavering commitment: Remar SOS Brazil provides crucial help to communities affected by floods.

Volunteers transport tons of donations on a 2,200 km trip

In an unprecedented act of solidarity and commitment, Remar SOS Brazil has deployed a great effort to provide assistance to communities affected by the devastating floods in Rio Grande do Sul. In collaboration with partner companies and institutions, the organization has carried out a trip of 2200 km to deliver an emergency cargo of essential donations.

The humanitarian aid delivery operation   left from São Paulo and arrived in Santo Antônio da Patrulha, a city located 90 km from Porto Alegre. Fortunately, this town was not affected by the floods and now serves as an operational base for the efficient distribution of humanitarian aid.

National mobilization to face the crisis

Following the first shipment of donations by the Brazilian Air Force, which transported 10 tons of supplies, Remar SOS Brazil decided to redouble its efforts and organized additional ground transportation. The cargo included a variety of essential items, such as water, biscuits, blankets, condiments, cleaning and hygiene materials, and heaters, all of vital importance for the thousands of people who have lost their homes and livelihoods in the affected region.

The Community Center is transformed into a logistics center to channel aid

The Santo Antônio da Patrulha Community Center has become the epicenter of Remar SOS Brazil operations. The facilities have been adapted to function as an efficient logistics center, where donations are classified, organized and distributed to the communities most in need.

The fundraising campaign continues to guarantee sustained support

In order to ensure that the flow of aid does not stop, Remar SOS Brazil maintains its donation collection campaign active. Collection points have been established in supermarket chains such as: Lopes, Dia, Extra and Pão de Açúcar in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. In addition, OAB collection centers and Remar Brasil units are also receiving donations with open arms.

Thanks to allies and reiteration of commitment

Remar SOS Brazil expresses its deepest gratitude to the partners and collaborators who have made this humanitarian mission possible. The organization reiterates its strong commitment to continue providing support to flood-affected communities until reconstruction is complete. Now more than ever, it is necessary to join forces to give hope and rebuild the lives of those who have suffered so much.

Call to action: Let’s come together to make a difference

Remar SOS Brazil calls on the entire community to join this noble cause. Non-perishable food, water, hygiene and cleaning products, warm clothing and blankets are urgently needed. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a big difference in the lives of people who have lost everything in this tragedy.

Your help is essential to the success of this mission. Together we can make a difference and help the communities of Rio Grande do Sul overcome this difficult time.
