About us

Since 1982, passionate about doing good… out of love for God and our neighbor.

We are a Non-Profit Organization (NPO) with Christian foundations that began its work in Spain in 1982, created to help, promote and develop people in situations of social exclusion, we have more than 38 years of experience in the fight against injustice, drug addiction, food security, coverage of basic needs, health, education, family and gender violence. We work in 70 countries thanks to God’s help and the support of thousands of volunteer collaborators who dedicate their lives to the service of others.

REMAR USA INC, is a non-profit non-governmental organization, class 501C3, we have been working since 1995 in the city of Miami, and other cities such as Lakeland and Clewiston, dedicated to help people with problems dealing with drugs, alcohol, homelessness and others that are disregarded by society through our long term Christian rehabilitation program. In Spanish, REMAR is an abbreviation which means “Rehabilitation of People on the Margin of Society”.  It is an expression of part of the body of Christ through the church here on Earth.

The initial step in our rehabilitation process at REMAR USA Inc. is a stay at our farm, known as the “First Phase”. We provide a tranquil, serene environment away from the city’s distractions and the negative influences to which our members have become accustomed. This setting fosters the development of new habits and personal growth in a Christ-centered familial atmosphere. To encourage positive behaviors, we establish clear rules and guidelines for all members. Respect for others and the cultivation of strong relationships are paramount to our approach. The day on the farm begins with a group devotional, followed by hands-on engagement in farm chores such as feeding livestock, tending to the property, and maintaining farm infrastructure. This provides meaningful occupational therapy, diverting attention from negative thoughts and worldly temptations.

After approximately two months at the farm, the members are transferred to a house in Miami, Florida , which marks the start of the “Second Phase” of our rehabilitation process. The structure of this phase closely resembles the first phase, with members adhering to established rules and guidelines. However, additional responsibilities are introduced to prepare them for reintegration into society. These responsibilities may include driving a truck for a moving company, washing cars, painting houses, working on computers, making donation calls, answering phone calls, and more. The primary goal of this phase is to gradually reintroduce members to the outside world. This transition exposes them to the “real world” and the challenges they may face, similar to those they encountered prior to their involvement with REMAR. However, after two months of spiritual and personal growth at the farm, they are better equipped to handle these situations with a clearer mind and a renewed perspective.

Practicing honesty, integrity, and extending a helping hand to those in need embodies the teachings of Jesus Christ and demonstrates the positive impact of our rehabilitation program.

The overall rehabilitation program at REMAR USA typically lasts for one year. Upon completion of the Second Phase, members have the option to continue their journey of transformation by embarking on the “Third Phase” of the program. This phase involves actively engaging in the REMAR ministry and dedicating their lives to serving God. For those who feel a calling from the Lord to share their newfound faith and assist others in their own journeys of recovery, the Third Phase provides a meaningful and fulfilling path. By dedicating themselves to serving God and His people, members can experience a life filled with joy, purpose, and spiritual fulfillment.
