Work is progressing on the Agri-Food Production project through the use of vegetables, condiments and peanuts for food security in the NGO REMAR in Equatorial Guinea, which is financed by the City Council of Alcobendas.
The construction of a bridge has been completed for a better access to the vegetable farm, as well as that the land is also being prepared for the transplanting of crops. In the administrative area, a person has been hired to manage the accounting and bookkeeping for a better development, order and organization of the expenses of this project.
The objective of this agricultural project at the rural farm that Remar has in the village of Tubana, aims to train the teenagers that live in the foster homes and the neighbors in the area, so that they can learn crop production helping to improve the provision of supplies such as vegetables and agricultural products that are necessary nutritions and that in this time of crisis, due to the COVID19 pandemic, become food of basic necessities.
We will continue to report on the progress and the tireless work of the volunteers of the NGO Remar in this country that make this possible.
