REMAR NGO in Bolivia: Committed to Education and Children since 1997
Since its establishment in 1997, the NGO REMAR in Bolivia has demonstrated a firm commitment to the education and well-being of children. One of REMAR’s most notable projects is the implementation of Solidarity and Charity Kitchens, designed to provide support to girls and boys in disadvantaged areas.
Solidarity Kitchens: Food and Education
REMAR Bolivia has established four Solidarity Kitchens in different cities of the country, where they provide free daily rations of nutritious food to boys and girls with limited economic resources. This effort reaches around 400 minors, ensuring they receive adequate and nutritious food that their families, due to economic limitations, cannot provide regularly.
The project, called “You learn better without hunger,” is specifically aimed at school-age children. The main idea is that with proper nutrition, children can concentrate better and take more advantage of educational opportunities, which contributes significantly to their academic and personal development.
School support
In addition to food, in some of these canteens, REMAR also provides school support in the afternoons. Children receive help with their homework and additional support to improve their study levels, crucial assistance that many cannot get in their own homes. This comprehensive approach not only combats malnutrition, but also promotes children’s learning and educational development.
Ongoing Commitment
REMAR Bolivia’s commitment to children and education is evident through these programs, which not only seek to satisfy the basic needs of children, but also strengthen them so that they reach their maximum academic potential. Since 1997, REMAR Bolivia has worked tirelessly to improve the quality of life of disadvantaged children, reaffirming its mission to create a brighter future for the next generations.
