Remar Mendoza: Harvesting Hope and Transformation

I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, It is more blessed to give than to receive”. Acts 20:35

The NGO Remar Mendoza announces the new production of olives and condiments, a project that not only benefits the local community but also nurtures hope and transformation for people in vulnerable situations.

Cultivating a Better Future

At Remar’s farm in San Martín, 1600 olive trees are currently being harvested across three hectares, alongside another six hectares worked in collaboration with a Bolivian community, producing a plentiful olive harvest. Crop rotation, including garlic, onion, tomato, and pumpkin, allows for sustainable land use and a constant supply of fresh food for the community.

A Virtuous Cycle of Collaboration

The olives are delivered to a cooperative for processing and returned to Remar in jars or bottles of extra virgin olive oil. This production is partly used for internal consumption and partly for sale under the trademarked brand Remar. Remar’s products are commercially traceable and meet the highest quality standards, allowing for distribution throughout the country.

More Than a Product, an Opportunity

Volunteers involved in olive harvesting and care find this activity a valuable opportunity for personal change and transformation. This experience is part of their occupational therapy and helps them develop new skills and healthy habits.

A Circle of Solidarity Support

The packaging of products is done by external cooperatives, and the final distribution is carried out by volunteers who have completed their recovery process at Remar. Thus, a virtuous circle of support and collaboration is created that benefits all involved.

Transforming Lives

Remar’s olive oil production in the city of Mendoza is not only a source of income for the organization but also a symbol of hope and transformation. Each bottle represents the effort and dedication of individuals who have found in the NGO Remar an opportunity to rebuild their lives.

With Significant Impact

The profits from production are allocated to support REMAR homes, which currently accommodate:

40 women with children living on the streets
50 men in a homeless shelter
47 individuals in a first-phase farm
30 individuals in another first-phase farm
An evangelism group and a maintenance group in the Church
In total, Remar Mendoza impacts the lives of approximately 210 people.

A Testimony of Help and Transformation

REMAR Mendoza is a testimony to the power of collaboration, hard work, and hope. Through God’s grace via food production and the crafting of top-quality products, REMAR Mendoza not only generates a positive social impact but also offers people in vulnerable situations the opportunity to transform their lives and build a better future.
