The solidarity dinner brought together personalities and recognized the work of people and companies committed to social aid.
In an emotional evening, Remar Bolivia commemorated its 27 years of work in the country with the annual “Al corazón solidario” awards dinner. The event was attended by the Pastor and President of REMAR International Miguel Díez and his wife Mari Carmen Jiménez, the event brought together personalities from different sectors of society.
A journey through the history of Remar
The night began with a video that covered the history of Remar, founded in 1982 in Spain and in 1997 in Bolivia, with the aim of helping and improving the living conditions of the most vulnerable people in Bolivian society. Throughout these years, the organization has helped thousands of people reintegrate into society, also working with children and young people who live on the poverty line, low-income families and people at risk.
Solidarity Heart Award
The REMAR solidarity dinner, which brought together 130 businesspeople in an atmosphere of generosity and commitment, highlighted a special moment: the presentation of the Solidarity Heart Award. This recognition seeks to thank and celebrate the work of people and companies that are distinguished by their social commitment and their constant collaboration in helping the most disadvantaged.
The presentation of this award is an example of the joint effort to build a better future for those who need it most. The winners, with their invaluable support, make it possible for REMAR to extend its helping hand to a greater number of people in vulnerable situations.
Art and solidarity hearts
Attendees enjoyed an auction of paintings and sculptures donated by the renowned artist Mamani Mamani and the Sacromonte ballet closed the night with special dances.
27 years transforming lives, a legacy of love and commitment:
In 1997, REMAR arrived in Bolivia with a message of hope and a helping hand extended to the most disadvantaged. Since then, thanks to God and the work of the team of its volunteers, the NGO REMAR in Bolivia has traveled a path full of achievements and transformations, leaving its mark on Bolivian society.
Over the course of 27 years, REMAR has provided comprehensive assistance to thousands of people in vulnerable situations, including children, adolescents, women, families and people living on the streets. Through its various programs and projects, the organization offers:
- Comprehensive shelter and care: REMAR opens its doors to people who live in situations of extreme need, providing them with a safe and welcoming space where they receive food, hygiene, medical care and emotional support.
- Recovery and rehabilitation: The organization offers specialized programs for people with problems of addiction, violence, abandonment or any other situation that prevents them from living a full life.
- Training and training: REMAR is committed to education as a tool of empowerment, offering workshops and courses so that people can develop their skills and abilities, and thus have better opportunities for the future.
- Social integration: The organization accompanies people in their social reintegration process, providing them with support to find work, housing and strengthen their family and social ties.
