El Olivo School, belonging to the NGO REMAR in Guatemala, celebrated with great success the completion of the 2024 School Year. This achievement includes the promotion of students in the Pre-Primary, Primary, and Basic levels, and the graduation of the 2024 Class of Bachelors, Teachers, and Accountants, marking a new chapter in the lives of these young people.
With a history of 26 years, Colegio Cristiano El Olivo has provided quality education to more than 15,000 students, forming generations of children and young people with solid Christian values and academic excellence. This educational impact has been possible thanks to REMAR Guatemala’s ongoing commitment to transform lives through teaching.
Education and Values: Transforming Lives in San José Villa Nueva
Located in the municipality of San José Villa Nueva, Guatemala City, Colegio El Olivo has become a beacon of hope for hundreds of children and young people. Its mission not only benefits children living in REMAR foster homes, but also children from families with limited resources who live in nearby areas.
Each school year, young graduates not only receive an excellent academic education, but are also formed in solid Christian values. These principles provide them with essential tools to function as useful and responsible professionals in society.
El Olivo School Teaching Staff: Commitment to Educational Excellence
The success and educational quality of REMAR Guatemala’s El Olivo 1 and El Olivo 2 schools are possible thanks to the effort and dedication of its teaching staff. Made up of primary school teachers, highly qualified secondary school teachers, high school teachers and accounting experts, this team works with passion to offer comprehensive education to hundreds of children and young people.
At the primary level, teachers are not only dedicated to imparting knowledge, but also develop creative plans and activities designed to enhance students’ talents and abilities. With regular meetings, the teaching team evaluates progress and ensures that every aspect of school operations meets the highest standards.
For secondary education, high school and accounting, the schools have teachers specialized in all areas required by the Ministry of Education of Guatemala. These professionals not only meet the academic requirements, but also provide practical tools and knowledge that allow young people to fully develop in each field of study, preparing them for the challenges of professional and personal life.
