The Reality of Poverty in Bolivia and REMAR’s Work to Transform Lives
Bolivia, although it has made progress in reducing poverty in recent decades, remains one of the countries with the highest poverty rates in South America. Even today, many families, especially in rural and indigenous areas, face serious vulnerability and difficulties in accessing basic services and economic opportunities.
This complex situation highlights the importance of the work of organisations such as the NGO REMAR in Bolivia, which provide comprehensive support in communities in need. Through assistance programmes, skills training and awareness campaigns, REMAR actively works to improve the living conditions of people in vulnerable situations, contributing to sustainable and positive change in their communities.
REMAR Bolivia’s Constant Commitment to the Well-being of Communities
REMAR Bolivia works tirelessly to improve the quality of life of the most vulnerable sectors, not only through its foster homes, but also through a network of soup kitchens that provide daily food to children at risk in various localities.
Furthermore, their commitment to communities is reflected in training programs that include bakery, pastry, recycling and agriculture workshops, designed to provide people with practical skills that allow them to access new opportunities and improve their self-sustainability.
REMAR Bolivia also organizes awareness campaigns on addiction prevention, addressing problems that affect children, adolescents and adults in vulnerable situations. These initiatives are a testament to its commitment to generating a deep and lasting change in the lives of those who need it most.
