The NGO REMAR Bolivia provided medical care, spiritual support and food to the inmates of the Palmasola Penitentiary Center, offering a message of hope and transformation
Medical and spiritual care for the inmates of Palmasola
Last weekend, the NGO REMAR in Bolivia, through its headquarters in Santa Cruz, carried out an important service day at the Palmasola Penitentiary Center, one of the largest facilities in the country. During this medical brigade, attention and care were offered to people deprived of liberty, who do not have the resources for good food and care.
A message of hope and love
Pastor Jon Ugalde, director of REMAR Bolivia, in addition to leading the event, shared a message of hope and Christian love with the inmates.
“We know that the situation they are facing is difficult, but we want them to know that they are not alone. This gesture of support, solidarity and the preparation of a special meal that we shared is a sign of God’s love for them,” said Jon Ugalde.
The event not only provided medical assistance, but also a moment of spiritual and emotional comfort, filled with encouragement, joy and faith for those living in adverse circumstances.
Volunteers and health professionals
The REMAR NGO team, made up of volunteers, health professionals and collaborators, dedicated themselves to serving the inmates with compassion and respect, being a channel of transformation and redemption.
“Thank you to all who made this day possible. May this act of service be a seed of change in the hearts of those who need it most. Let us continue working together for a more just and loving world,” concluded Ugalde.
REMAR Bolivia: A firm commitment to the most disadvantaged
Since its foundation, REMAR Bolivia has demonstrated a deep commitment to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in society. As part of the international organization REMAR, its mission in Bolivia focuses on offering comprehensive assistance to those who find themselves in situations of extreme need, from homeless people, abandoned children, victims of violence, to people deprived of liberty.
Comprehensive care
REMAR Bolivia’s approach goes beyond material assistance; its work also encompasses the spiritual and emotional care of those who need it most. Through rehabilitation programs, shelters and humanitarian aid brigades, the NGO works every day to provide not only food and shelter, but also hope and a renewed purpose in life.
Rehabilitation programs and shelters
REMAR Bolivia has established a network of rehabilitation centers and foster homes that provide a safe space for people facing problems such as addiction, abandonment, and abuse. In these centres, beneficiaries receive not only basic care, but also psychological and spiritual support and training to reintegrate into society with dignity.
A call for social transformation
REMAR Bolivia not only seeks to alleviate the immediate needs of those who come to them, but also to generate a profound transformation in the lives of each person who comes to their centers and programs. Through service, education and faith, the NGO seeks to form individuals with new opportunities and a renewed sense of dignity, capable of overcoming the adversities they previously faced.
