On International Day of Families, celebrated every May 15 since 1994, the NGO REMAR raises its voice as a beacon of hope and love for thousands of people around the world. With more than 40 years of experience and presence in 70 countries, REMAR has become an extended family that welcomes children, young people, adults and the elderly in vulnerable situations, offering them a home, support and the opportunity to build a better future.
United by love and hope
This year, the theme for the International Day of Families proposed by the United Nations is “Families and Climate Change”, a call to action to raise awareness about the impact of climate change on families and the crucial role they can play in the fight against this global challenge. At REMAR, this motto resonates especially strongly, as the organization works tirelessly to protect the most vulnerable families from the devastating effects of climate change.
A refuge for those most in need
REMAR foster homes are a refuge for thousands of children who have been victims of poverty, abandonment and orphanhood. In these homes, children find an environment of love and unity where they can live, study, acquire positive habits and feel part of a family. A second chance for men and women

In women’s homes, they receive emotional support, comprehensive care and the company of other women who have had similar experiences. Additionally, REMAR offers a home and care to elderly people who have been abandoned by their families, providing them with a safe and dignified space where they can spend their final years with dignity and love.
