Angels day and night on the streets of Belize

The NGO REMAR Belize fights poverty, hunger and addiction in Belize City through comprehensive aid programs

Angels of the Night: A beacon of hope in the darkness

The Night Angels program travels the streets of the city every week at night, bringing food and words of encouragement to people in the most vulnerable situations. In addition, they offer them the opportunity to get off the streets and enter REMAR foster homes to begin a process of rehabilitation and social reintegration.

Angels of Day: Fighting hunger and malnutrition

During the day, once a week   REMAR Belize carries out a feeding program on the streets of the city, distributing fresh milk in the most vulnerable neighborhoods. They also distribute food and nutritious hot dishes for people who live in conditions of extreme poverty.

More than a gesture of solidarity and compassion

REMAR Belize’s work goes beyond simply delivering food or shelter. The organization seeks to provide emotional and spiritual support to the people it serves, helping them regain their self-esteem and hope for a better future.

A story of hope

REMAR in Belize began its work in this country in 1996, with a group of missionaries in Belize City. Since then, its growth has been constant, opening houses for men, a building for families, a care and information office, stores and serving people in vulnerable situations.

Transforming lives

REMAR Belize   offers rehabilitation and reintegration programs for people with addiction problems, providing them with the necessary tools to overcome their difficulties and reintegrate into society.

REMAR Belize goes beyond a simple refuge. In addition to offering food and lodging, the organization also provides emotional and spiritual support to its beneficiaries, a family to share every day in their recovery process.

A call for collaboration

REMAR Belize relies heavily on donations and volunteer support to continue its invaluable work. If you want to contribute to this noble cause, you can do so and join in bringing food and hope to more vulnerable people.
