REMAR, a non-governmental organization, is working to ensure that displaced children in Burkina Faso have access to quality education. The project, which will be implemented over a period of 12 months, will focus on the following:
- Improving the equipment and conditions of two primary schools in the capital, Ouagadougou.
- Creating 950 new school places for displaced children.
- Strengthening the social protection and education system for children in the area.
The project will include the following activities:
- Improvement of the equipment of classrooms, kitchens, dining rooms, and toilets.
- Provision of free tuition for displaced children.
- Training of teachers in child protection and education.
- Assurance of the salaries of teachers, administrative staff, cleaning staff, and kitchen staff.
The project is essential to ensuring that displaced children in Burkina Faso have access to quality education. It will help to protect children from the risks of exploitation and abuse, and it will help them to build a better future for themselves.
