REMAR USA Sends First Container of Aid of 2025 to Santo Domingo

REMAR USA sends the first container of humanitarian aid in 2025 to the Dominican Republic, loaded with furniture, appliances and hope to improve the lives of many families and children in vulnerable situations.”

A Container: A Bridge of Hope Between Two Countries

REMAR USA recently sent its first aid container of 2025 to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. In a record time of one week, the work team, made up of missionaries, volunteers and people in the process of rehabilitation, filled this container with furniture, appliances and essential items.

This effort not only benefits the REMAR community in the Dominican Republic, but also represents an opportunity to serve those in recovery, allowing them to participate in useful and meaningful activities. Good for some and good for others: God continues to work in lives.

The Importance of Aid Containers in Countries with Limited Resources

Each container that REMAR USA sends to countries like the Dominican Republic represents much more than just a load of material goods. These shipments mean the possibility of improving the living conditions of children and young people at risk, providing basic resources and opportunities for a better future.

In places where resources are scarce, a container can make a big difference, offering everything from furniture for homes and shelters to household appliances that make everyday life easier.

Dominican Republic: A Country of Contrasts

The Dominican Republic is known worldwide for its beautiful landscapes, paradisiacal beaches and the tourism that drives its economy. However, behind this image, many sectors of the country live in conditions of extreme poverty.

Children and young people in particular are severely affected by the lack of access to education, employment opportunities and basic resources. This increases the risk of social exclusion and jeopardizes the development of thousands of children and young people.

REMAR: More than 25 Years of Commitment to Dominican Children and Youth

For more than 25 years, REMAR has been working in Santo Domingo offering support to children and young people in vulnerable situations. Through foster homes, educational programs and integration activities, the NGO has positively impacted the lives of hundreds of people, especially children and young people.

REMAR’s work in the Dominican Republic not only provides a safe haven for those most in need, but also seeks to restore their lives with Christian values, education and training for their integral development.
