A gift on wheels: REMAR Dominican Republic receives vehicle sent from REMAR Spain

Thanks to the generous donation from REMAR Spain, the children and young people of REMAR Santo Domingo will have safe transportation for their studies and activities, strengthening their well-being and development

The NGO REMAR in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, has received with great joy a new vehicle, a 16-seat van donated by REMAR Spain. This important donation will improve the transportation of children and young people who live in REMAR foster homes, facilitating their transfer to school and other activities essential for their development.

Fundamental Support for the Transportation of Children and Young People

The children and young people expressed their happiness at receiving this vehicle, which not only represents a safe and efficient means of transport, but also a tool that strengthens the work of the NGO REMAR, present in Santo Domingo since 1999. This new acquisition comes at the best time, right at the beginning of the school year, to provide invaluable support to minors in vulnerable situations.

Thanks to REMAR Spain for its Commitment and Solidarity

“In everything I showed you that by working hard in this way we must help those in need, and remember what the Lord Jesus said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive. ’” Acts 20:35

“We express our deepest gratitude to God and to REMAR Spain for this generous donation. Their commitment and solidarity allow us to continue offering these children and young people a safe and stable environment, essential for their growth and well-being,” said REMAR Santo Domingo.

“Once again, REMAR Spain has shown its unwavering commitment to Dominican children and youth, supporting our work in favor of the most vulnerable. Thanks to this support, we continue to contribute to the development of a more just and supportive society. Our most sincere thanks for such valuable collaboration!” they concluded.

REMAR’s Commitment in the Dominican Republic Continues after 25 Years of Work

For 25 years, REMAR has worked tirelessly in the Dominican Republic to transform the lives of vulnerable children and young people. Although the country is known for its natural beauty and tourist appeal, there is a sad reality that affects thousands of families: extreme poverty, child abandonment and the social risk that many children face due to a lack of resources and family support.

REMAR, a Big Family for Vulnerable Children

Since its inception, REMAR has focused its efforts on offering these children a home full of love and affection, providing them not only with a shelter, but also with an environment that resembles a large family. REMAR foster homes not only cover basic needs such as food and access to education, but also encourage fun, play and emotional development. Here, children find a space where they can grow and develop in an integral way, receiving personalized attention, security and hope for the future.

REMAR Spain: Constant Support for Dominican Children

The work that REMAR carries out in the Dominican Republic continues to be fundamental in giving these children and young people a second chance. Every day, REMAR is committed to improving their living conditions, providing them with the necessary tools so that they can have a future full of opportunities and prosperity.

This unconditional support, together with the joint work with REMAR Spain and the help from REMAR in other countries such as the United States,   further strengthens the mission of the NGO, which continues to be a pillar of hope for the most disadvantaged families and communities in the country.
