Within the framework of the project “It is never too late to learn”, REMAR Bolivia offers training in baking, cooking and pastry making, providing tools for the personal and professional development of the most vulnerable people
The “It’s Never Too Late to Learn” Project, promoted by the NGO REMAR Bolivia, has carried out a series of training sessions in various areas, such as baking, pastry making and cooking, with the aim of providing tools that not only promote professional development, but also positively impact the self-esteem and well-being of participants. This project has allowed both men and women from various communities to acquire new knowledge and skills, opening up opportunities for a better future for themselves and their families.
Bakery Training
One of the most recent training sessions was held at the REMAR Santa Cruz Women’s Home, where a baking course was given. Students from the Germán Busch UE, from the La Enconada community in the municipality of Cotoca, participated in this training. The participants not only learned basic and advanced baking techniques, but also experienced a boost in their self-esteem, discovering that they are capable of carrying out activities that previously seemed unattainable.
Cooking Training
The REMAR Santa Cruz Women’s Home was also the setting for a cooking training course, attended by mothers from the La Enconada community and students from the UE República de México from the Campanero sector. This training allowed women to discover new ways of preparing food, applying professional techniques. Beyond culinary knowledge, this type of training results in a deep emotional impact, strengthening the sense of purpose and the desire for improvement.
Pastry Training
Finally, at the REMAR Santa Cruz Women’s Home, a pastry-making training course was given, with the assistance of parents from the Los Tajibos community and students from the Germán Busch UE. This training not only provided advanced techniques in the preparation of desserts, but also offered an opportunity for participants to expand their work horizons, opening up the possibility of generating income through their own business.
The Importance of these Trainings
Each of these training sessions represents much more than just technical training. For the people who participated, many of them in vulnerable situations, these opportunities mean a radical change in their lives. By acquiring these new skills, men and women regain the desire to work, to learn and to get ahead. Their dignity is strengthened by realizing that they are capable of achieving new and useful things, both for their families and for their environment.
The “It’s Never Too Late to Learn” project is a clear example of REMAR Bolivia’s commitment to the comprehensive development of people, reminding us that learning is a path that can always open new doors, regardless of age or circumstances. Through these training courses, participants are given not only the tools for a better future in the workplace, but also the hope for personal and family change.
A Future with New Opportunities
Thanks to these trainings, many of the participants now have the opportunity to apply what they have learned to improve their living conditions. With this project, REMAR Bolivia continues to transform lives, showing that one can always learn and that, with will and support, anyone can open new doors to a more promising future.
