A lifesaver in times of crisis

More than 80 families receive food assistance every week thanks to the work of this non-profit organization

“ For you have been a refuge for the poor, a protector for the needy in their affliction, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat.” Isaiah 25:4

The city of Nottingham is going through challenging economic times, with an increase in the number of people needing help to meet their basic needs. In this context, the NGO REMAR continues to work to provide food assistance to more than 80 families every week.

Vital support for families

Every Tuesday, REMAR Nottingham volunteers deliver bags or boxes of food to the families most in need. This help is essential for many people who struggle to meet their basic needs. “We are experiencing a very difficult time in the economy and there are many people who are very needy,” commented one of the REMAR volunteers. “The economic crisis is increasing and there are more and more people who need help.”

More than a plate of food

REMAR’s work goes beyond delivering food and meals. Volunteers also share moments of hope and faith with people who receive help. “We live stories and experiences of faith as we see the provision that God brings to continue giving food,” commented one volunteer. “We also pray for the needs of the community and REMAR homes in the city.”

An unwavering commitment

REMAR Nottingham is committed to continuing its work of assisting the families most in need. “We will not stop looking for means, resources. donations and aid to continue   delivering food and continue helping so many families who come to our doors,” they stated.

A call to action

REMAR volunteers work tirelessly, but for this work they also need helping hands. REMAR Nottingham needs more helping hands to continue its important work in favor of those most in need and from here it calls on people, companies and collaborators who wish to join this great work of love and compassion.
