The war is not over, solidarity is still present

“Let us not get tired of doing good; for in due time we will reap, if we do not faint.” Galatians 6:9

The NGO REMAR has sent a new container with humanitarian aid from Madrid

Since the conflict began in Ukraine, the NGO REMAR has not stopped collaborating and helping in the cities of Chernivtsi, Rivne, Lviv and kyiv. Its main objective is to provide food and basic assistance to people affected by war.

More than 1,600 people receive food daily

Thanks to the collaboration of companies, small businesses and individuals, REMAR has managed to maintain a constant pace of humanitarian aid. This April, a new container has been sent from the NGO’s headquarters in Madrid with essential products, including legumes, non-perishable foods and personal hygiene items.

Thanks to collaborators

Remar would like to especially thank the company Luengo y Penelas for the donation of pallets of vegetables, Profab for the bouncy castles for the children’s entertainment and Corte Inglés for the large number of boxes of chocolate to distribute to families.

The conflict in Ukraine and the importance of long-term aid

The conflict in Ukraine, which began in February 2022, has generated a large-scale humanitarian crisis. Millions of people have been displaced from their homes, thousands have died and the country’s infrastructure has been devastated.

People who suffer the effects of war live in such a worrying situation:

  • Shortages of food, water and medicine: Access to basic services has been severely affected, causing a serious food and health crisis.
  • Lack of security: Constant bombings and attacks put people’s lives at risk, especially children.
  • Other risks: In addition, they are exposed to a high risk of violence, trauma and disease.

Long-term help is essential:

Long-term humanitarian aid is crucial to alleviating the suffering of people affected by war. This aid must be aimed at covering the basic needs of the population, such as food, accommodation, health and education.

Everyone’s collaboration is necessary to face this crisis.

Call for collaboration

The NGO encourages other companies, small businesses or individuals to join the cause and collaborate with donations. Together we can make a big difference in the lives of people suffering from the effects of war in Ukraine.
