Channel 7 journalist lives the Rowing from the Inside experience

Journalist Julián Chabert   from Channel 7 in Mendoza, Argentina   lives two days in REMAR and discovers the organization’s work in recovering people

“Let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16

The renowned journalist from Channel 7 from the city of Mendoza, Argentina,   Julián Chabert, immersed himself in the reality of the NGO Remar for two days, living like another intern and broadcasting live the different activities carried out in the organization.

First day: The artisanal bakery and the REMAR farm

The day began at the artisanal bakery, where Chabert was able to learn up close about the bread-making process and share experiences with the volunteers who work there. At night, the transmission moved to the facilities of the   REMAR farm in Mendoza, where the birthday of one of the young inmates was celebrated. The camera captured moments of camaraderie and closeness, showing not only the rooms and feeding times, but also the routines that the young people carry out as part of their rehabilitation process.

Second day: A day with the REMAR sales team

On the second day, Chabert joined the volunteers of the REMAR sales team, walking the streets of Mendoza and offering residents REMAR brand condiments and homemade bread made in the organization’s bakery. People received him with affection and enthusiasm, recognizing his career in the media and valuing the opportunity to learn “from the inside” about the work of Remar Mendoza. This experience allowed the audience to discover a different facet of the organization, showing its commitment to social reintegration and support for the most vulnerable people, including those struggling with addictions.

Testimony of Julián Chabert

“This is the space called Desde Adentro, and here at the Remar farm we have been absolutely moved by the stories and testimonies we have heard from very early on,” said Chabert.

“The pastor just spoke and everything is really very exciting. I, like many people outside, perhaps don’t have that much of a problem, we have a functioning family and   a job, but we also have emptiness in our hearts and the pastor’s words plus the testimonies   I have heard have made me think a lot about my life.”

“From my heart I want to thank you enormously for the task and work of Remar here in Mendoza, people also find God and I find that the mission of Remar in Mendoza is absolutely indispensable.”

Julián Chabert’s experience at Remar Mendoza is an example of the organization’s commitment to transparency and accountability. By opening its doors to the public, Remar allows society to learn more about its work and the positive impact it has on the lives of thousands of people.
