Vulnerable women from El Alto have access to sewing and tailoring courses thanks to the workshop “It’s Never Too Late to Learn” in collaboration between REMAR Bolivia and the Mayor’s Office of El Alto
The NGO REMAR Bolivia continues to reaffirm its commitment to providing support to the most vulnerable communities in the country. With the recent inauguration of the sewing workshop “It’s Never Too Late to Learn”, aimed at women from El Alto, REMAR seeks to train these women through learning and the development of new skills. This project has become a reality thanks to the collaboration of the City Council of Seville and the Mayor of El Alto, which have provided important resources for its implementation.
Sewing Courses for Women in El Alto
The new workshop aims to offer training in sewing and tailoring to women living in vulnerable situations. The courses are taught in facilities equipped with all the necessary tools to guarantee quality learning, with sewing machines, textile materials and adapted furniture.
This project aims to provide women from El Alto not only with valuable technical skills, but also with the opportunity to improve their economic and living conditions. Many of the participants are mothers and heads of household who seek to generate income through sewing, thus contributing to the livelihood of their families.
Joining forces to improve living conditions
The President of REMAR Bolivia, Jon Ugalde, expressed his gratitude to the City Council of Seville and the Mayor of El Alto for their collaboration in this important project. During the inauguration of the workshop, Ugalde highlighted that the unity between the NGO and the local government has allowed them to offer a solid and accessible program for the women of the city.
“These courses will provide them with practical tools that they can apply in their daily environment, improving their quality of life and promoting their ability to generate income for their families,” said Ugalde.
Positive Impact on the Alteña Community
The project has been received with great enthusiasm by the community of El Alto. Many women have seen in these courses an opportunity to learn and improve, thanking REMAR Bolivia and the Mayor’s Office for making these training spaces available to them.
A Continuing Commitment to Women in Vulnerable Situations
The NGO REMAR Bolivia continues its mission of providing support to the most disadvantaged, and with these sewing workshops it reinforces its focus on helping women who face difficult conditions. The workshop “It is never too late to learn” is an example of the NGO’s ongoing work to improve the living conditions of these women, offering them the necessary tools to get ahead.
REMAR Bolivia, with more than 30 years of experience working with the most needy sectors of society, reaffirms its commitment to continue implementing training and development projects, promoting the development and well-being of the most vulnerable communities.
