On the occasion of the Day of Love being celebrated on February 14, Commissioner Jose Pepe Diaz, of District 12, in his initiative of love for one’s neighbor, presents the proclamation, which is also signed by Commissioner A. Audrey Edmonson of District 3 and by the Lord Mayor of the City of Miami, Carlos Jimenez; in which this date is recognized as a day dedicated to REMAR USA, considering the testimony of community service work for 18 years in Florida, providing free help to people with problems of social marginalization (drug addiction, alcoholism, homelessness, families in need, etc. ) so that they are reinserted into society.
This delivery will take place at the Stephen P. Clark Center 111 NW 1St 2nd floor Miami Florida 33128 in a special event at 9:30 in the morning, with the participation of the commissioners in a special meeting and members of the non-profit organization REMAR USA, with the presence of the President of Remar International, Miguel Diez Alvarez.
REMAR USA, is a chapter of Remar International, which has been operating in Florida for 18 years, helping people in need, with shelters, food, clothing; also attending to the emotional and spiritual areas; seeking the restoration of lives, to be able to develop with dignity in society. This is a work carried out by the team led by the Executive Director, Angel Jimenez, who voluntarily, out of love and compassion, live with the people in the different communities where service is provided.
