In an event held today in the city of Viacha, the NGO REMAR Bolivia and the Municipal Autonomous Government of Viacha signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement with the objective of implementing the project “Circular economy, towards a green entrepreneurship in the Municipality of Viacha”.

The project seeks to promote the proper management of non-hazardous solid waste generated in the municipality, promoting its reuse, recycling and recovery. In this way, it is intended to contribute to the creation of a circular economy model that benefits both the environment and the local community.

A commitment to the environment and the community

The signing of the agreement was attended by the Municipal Mayor of Viacha, Napoleón Yahuasi M., the Environment and Risks department, municipal officials, the Director of REMAR Bolivia, Jon Ugalde, and the project’s technical team.

This agreement represents an important step in the commitment to build a more sustainable and environmentally friendly municipality. An initiative that will undoubtedly benefit all the residents of Viacha.

Jon Ugalde, Director of REMAR Bolivia, expressed his satisfaction with the signing of the agreement and reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to the sustainable development of the region: “At REMAR Bolivia we are convinced that the circular economy is a key model to face the challenges current environments. “Through this project, we want to contribute to the creation of a greener and more prosperous Viacha for future generations.”
