The visit from Spain by Pastor Mikel Díez and his wife strengthened the ties of the REMAR Ecuador community and brought a message of hope, unity and renewal to every corner visited
Recently, the REMAR Ecuador community was filled with joy upon receiving Pastor Mikel Díez and his wife, Caty Santandreu, who traveled from REMAR Spain to share their time and support. This visit was a blessing experience that left a mark on the participants, strengthening the bonds of unity and providing encouragement and spiritual renewal for both the visitors and those who are part of this work.
Meetings in various places of REMAR Ecuador
The tour began with a visit to the “Mitad del Mundo” and then to the first phase of the farm, a reception and rehabilitation space where people in the process of recovery can rebuild their lives. During this visit, they had the opportunity to talk and share with the residents, who gratefully received the spiritual support and motivation for their lives that this visit represented.
Aid Campaign and Message of Faith for Families in Vulnerable Situations
One of the highlights was the aid campaign carried out in the highlands of Ecuador, aimed at families in great need. At this event, food was distributed and a message of faith and hope was shared, to which several people responded by receiving the message of faith in their hearts. This activity was a reminder of the work of REMAR, committed to providing comprehensive aid to the most vulnerable communities.
Support for Women in Remote Communities
At a meeting specially organised for women in vulnerable situations, they shared and were able to learn about the needs of those who, due to their geographical location, have difficulty attending regular women’s meetings. As a result, it was agreed to continue organising meetings in their own communities, thus facilitating their participation and strengthening the support that REMAR offers to women at risk.
Visit to the Bakery: A Space for Training and Support for Boys and Girls
Pastor Mikel Díez and his wife also visited the REMAR Ecuador bakery, a project in which boys and girls learn the trade of baking, making bread and cookies that not only represent a source of income for the community, but also an educational and vocational training experience. During the visit, they spent time with the children, observing how, through these activities, the little ones find hope and a promising future.
Workers’ meetings and time of koinonia
As part of their visit, the pastor and his wife participated in worker meetings and visited other first-phase farms, sharing moments of reflection and strengthening the commitment that REMAR maintains with its missionaries and volunteers. Each meeting was marked by faith, love and reflecting the spirit of unity that characterizes REMAR around the world.
