Volunteers from the NGO REMAR bring food, words of encouragement and faith to patients and companions at the Vargas Hospital in Caracas
Once again, the volunteers of the NGO REMAR in Caracas, Venezuela, have demonstrated their commitment to the people most in need, visiting the Vargas Hospital to bring a little relief and hope to the patients and their companions.
On this occasion, volunteers delivered hot food to patients’ families, who often spend long hours in the hospital without access to adequate food. This gesture of kindness not only satisfies the body’s hunger, but also offers a comforting moment of warmth and compassion in the midst of difficulty.
But REMAR’s work goes beyond simply delivering food. Volunteers also take the time to talk to people who are going through difficult times, giving them words of encouragement, faith and hope. They share the Lord’s message of salvation and offer a listening ear to listen to their concerns and accompany them in their pain.
A message of hope in difficult times
For many people who are at the Vargas Hospital, the visit of the REMAR volunteers represents a time of peace in the midst of uncertainty and affliction.
“Our goal is to bring a plate of hot food, but also a message of comfort and hope,” said one of the REMAR volunteers. “We want these people to know that they are not alone, that there are those who care about them and that God is with them at all times.”
