REMAR USA celebrated Good Neighbor Day with a day of love, hope, and solidarity in Miami, where 94 families were blessed through an activity filled with faith, gifts, and spiritual nourishment.

With the participation of Pastor Ángel Jiménez, Director of REMAR USA, and the valuable support of the organization “Amor Sin Límites,” this initiative allowed people to share the Gospel message, offer words of encouragement, and distribute special gifts for both homes and children.
What does it mean to be a “Good Neighbor”?
A “Good Neighbor” is more than just someone who lives nearby; they are someone who actively engages in their community, serves others, and brings hope where it is most needed.
The Good Neighbor Days movement, celebrated in May and November, brings together communities, organizations, churches, and volunteers to inspire concrete actions of service and compassion. This event motivates everyone to discover the good neighbor within.

REMAR USA: Nourishing bodies and souls every week
In addition to participating in events such as Good Neighbor Day, REMAR USA carries out ongoing relief efforts in Miami. Every Tuesday, its volunteers and missionaries prepare and deliver food boxes to more than 100 families in need.
This program was born during the pandemic, when hundreds of people arrived in long lines of vehicles in search of food. Although the health emergency has passed, many families continue to depend on this weekly support, which REMAR USA has continued to offer to those who continue to arrive at its doors each week.
Works that reflect the love of God
In each box delivered, there is more than food: there is faith, compassion, and a message of hope. REMAR USA’s goal is to be the hands of Jesus, showing God’s love not only with words, but with concrete acts of mercy. “Let us not love in word or speech, but in deed and in truth.” (1 John 3:18)
Sharing food with those going through difficult times is a concrete way of living the Gospel, fulfilling Jesus’ words: “I was hungry and you gave me food” (Matthew 25:35).
