Remar USA volunteers awarded by the United States Congress

In the city of Washington D.C., on June 15, 2023, the United States Congress has honored Pastor Ángel Jiménez, Executive Director of the NGO REMAR in the USA, Pastor Juan Antonio Nazario, and Mayra Nazario, Public Relations, with recognition for their work as community leaders of the organization REMAR USA, INC in the city of Miami and the state of Florida.

This recognition from the United States Congress was established in 1979 and is one of the highest honors that the U.S. legislative power can bestow. After 12 years, it is being awarded again to acknowledge the work of Hispanic leaders in the community in the United States.

This event took place in the Rayburn Building of the U.S. Congress and was organized by Republican Congresswoman María Elvira Salazar.

REMAR USA has been operating in South Florida since 1995, for more than twenty-seven years, assisting individuals in the rehabilitation process for addictions. Additionally, REMAR periodically sends containers of humanitarian aid to countries in the Caribbean and Central America. The organization also serves the homeless population and regularly provides assistance to hundreds of low-income families in the local community.

We give thanks to God for this recognition and for the work, effort, love, and compassion of each missionary and volunteer of REMAR USA who work daily out of love for God and neighbor.
